After returning from the informal Bratislava Summit, Alternate Foreign Minister in charge of European Affairs, Nikos Xydakis, today is departing for Brussels to participate in the EU General Affairs Council on Tuesday, September 20.
General Affairs Council agenda highlights include the preparation of the European Council on Oct.21-22 in Brussels and discussion of the draft agenda, information on the implementation of June European Council conclusions, a presentation of the mid-term review of the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for 2014-2020 as well as legislative planning.
Alternate FM Xydakis will make a presentation of the Greek positions to his peers focusing on migration, both in terms of progress in implementing what was been agreed on as well as future steps, and on issues that touch on the review of the MFF, commercial policy and EU-Russian relations.
