Alternate Foreign Minister Giorgos Katrougalos met today, 26 January, with the Maltese Ambassador to Greece, Joseph Cuschieri, in the context of Malta's Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2017.
During the meeting, there was reaffirmation of the countries' excellent bilateral relations and shared views on many issues within the EU, with particular emphasis on the migration issue. It was agreed to maintain communication and regular consultation on issues of shared interest during these six months and ahead of the informal Conference of European leaders on the future of Europe, to be held on 3 February, in Valletta.
