A business Forum took place today with great success at the facilities of Saudi Arabia General Investment Energy (SAGIA), with the participation of 25 Greek companies.
The work of the Forum was launched by Alternate Foreign Minister G. Katrougalos, together with the head of SAGIA, Prince Saud Bin Khaled Al Faisal. During the course of the Forum, the protocol of the Approved Minutes of the 4th Greece-Saudi Arabia Joint Inter-Ministerial Committee was also signed. Many bilateral contacts took place between Greek and Saudi companies as well.
Mr. Katrougalos took part in the formal reception in honour of the President of the Republic, Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos, at the Royal Palace, and, in the presence of the President of the Republic and the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, he signed a bilateral agreement on scientific and technological cooperation.
The Alternate Foreign Minister held bilateral meetings with the Minister of Commerce and Investment, Mr. Qassabi, the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Kahaled Al Zahid, and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Madani. During these meetings, Mr. Katrougalos promoted our country’s business opportunities but also explored business opportunities for Greek companies within the framework of Saudi Arabia’s “VISION 2030” programme.
Lengthy discussions also took place pertaining to broader economic cooperation between Greece and Saudi Arabia.
