The Deputy Foreign Minister for International Economic Relations, Dimitris Mardas, met at the Foreign Ministry today with the Tunisian Ambassador to Athens, Tarek Saadi.
The discussion, which took place in an excellent atmosphere, focused on issues of common interest, with emphasis on the further expansion and strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Reference was made to the upcoming political consultations that will provide an opportunity for a detailed review of the course of bilateral relations, based on, among other things, the deepening of economic cooperation and its extension into various sectors, including tourism, culture and educational affairs.
With regard to business cooperation, Mr. Mardas noted that the priority sectors for the Greek side are expansion of trade transactions and tourism cooperation, while he stressed the dynamic of the Greek construction sector, requesting that the Ambassador keep him apprised of the program for construction and infrastructure projects in Tunisia.
