The Deputy Foreign Minister for International Economic Relations, Dimitris Mardas, is on a visit to Berlin today to attend the annual German-Hellenic Business Summit that DHW, the German-Hellenic Business Association, is organizing at BMZ, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation & Development.
Representatives of various ministries, agencies, and businesses from both Germany and Greece have been invited to discuss, among others, issues of bilateral cooperation, Hellenic-German chambers and the Diaspora. Speeches shall be made by Hans-Joachim Fuchtel, Federal Deputy Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, as well as Deputy Foreign Minister D. Mardas.
The Deputy Minister’s agenda includes a meeting with Hans-Joachim Fuchtel, Federal Deputy Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, who is also the Greek-German Assembly envoy and one with Stephan Steinlein, peer Deputy Foreign Minister, with both of whom Mr. Mardas is going to discuss the strengthening of bilateral economic cooperation.
In addition, Mr. Mardas, accompanied by Kyriakos Loufakis, President of the Federation of Northern Greece Exporters (SEVE), and Matthias Hoffmann, German-Greek Chamber representative, will meet with the representatives of the Federation of German Industry (BDI) and the Central Association of German Chambers of Commerce & Industry (DIHK), to discuss ‘PROGREECE”, an online internet platform aimed at promptly embarking on Greek-German business partnerships through a subcontracting system that links big German companies and Greek SMEs, which are German-Greek Chamber members. This platform has been provided, free of charge, to all bilateral chambers by both SEVE and the Hellenic-Greek Chamber.
