Deputy Foreign Minister responsible for Greek Diaspora Affairs, T. Quick, meets with Romanian Ambassador L. Fatu

The Deputy Foreign Minister responsible for Greek Diaspora Affairs, Terens Quick, had a courtesy meeting today with the Romanian Ambassador to Greece, Lucien Fatu, at the latter’s request.

During the meeting, the excellent level of bilateral relations in all fields was reaffirmed, while emphasis was put on the existence of a large Greek community in Romania, part of which has historical roots and a long-standing presence in the country. Reference was also made to the new Greek community, members of which have developed business activities, benefiting from advantages of the Romanian market in various sectors.

Deputy Foreign Minister Quick stressed that Greek communities everywhere are of great importance to the country, adding that he is scheduling meetings with the Greek community in Romania during his visit there in 2017.
