Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos departs tomorrow for the U.S. to participate on 3 June as a keynote speaker in the World Leaders Plenary of the American Jewish Committee’s annual Global Forum.
On the evening of the same day, Mr. Avramopoulos will depart for London, where he will carry out a working visit on 4 and 5 June, at the invitation of his U.K. counterpart William Hague, with whom he will have talks on bilateral, European and international issues.
Within the framework of his visit, the Foreign Minister will meet with the British-Greek Friendship Group of the House of Commons and House of Lords.
Mr. Avramopoulos will also meet with prominent members of the Greek community, and will attend an event entitled “David Lloyd and Eleftherios Venizelos: an enduring friendship,” which will include a presentation of documents from Lloyd George’s archives and his correspondence with Eleftherios Venizelos.
