Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias met yesterday in New York City, on the margins of the UN General Assembly, with the Foreign Minister of Turkey, Feridun Sinirlioğlu.
During their talks, the two Ministers carried out a review of bilateral relations and discussed ways to improve them. It was agreed to schedule, in an initial phase, exchanges of visits on the level of Foreign Ministry Secretary Generals, who will prepare the ground for reciprocal visits of the Foreign Ministers and the holding of the next Greek-Turkish High-Level Cooperation Council.
Finally, the two Ministers discussed the Cyprus issue and the situation in Iraq and Syria, and decided to strengthen bilateral cooperation on confronting the refugee and migration crisis.
