Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias today met, on the margins of the 12th ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, in Luxembourg, with the Pakistan Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Policy Issues, Sartaj Aziz.
During the meeting, there was a discussion of bilateral relations as well as regional issues, with emphasis on the refugee issue. The two sides referred to the need for further cooperation in order to confront the increasing migration flows from Pakistan to Greece and the rest of Europe, while it was agreed to intensify the efforts of the Pakistan side towards immediate and unhindered implementation of the EU-Pakistan Readmission Agreement.
It was also agreed to strengthen the two countries’ cooperation in a number of sectors, including the political, military, education and culture sectors.
