Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias talked by telephone a short while ago with his counterparts from Russia and Germany, Sergey Lavrov and Frank-Walter Steinmeier, respectively.
During the talks, there was an exchange of views on the latest developments and the Greek government’s decision to hold a referendum, which is a fundamental European process, with many referendums having been held in EU countries in the past.
Mr. Kotzias assured his counterparts that the expression of the democratic rights of the Greek people in a referendum raises no concerns, underscoring that Greece will not leave the Eurozone, but is in fact struggling to achieve a mutually beneficial agreement with its partners.
