A forum on Greece's bilateral economic and trade relations with Kosovo took place today in Pristina, with the participation of the Foreign Ministry's Secretary General for International Economic Relations, Giorgos Tsipras. Within the framework of the Forum, which was organized by the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, with the assistance of the Greek Liaison Office in Pristina, a business mission of representatives from some 40 Greek enterprises was also carried out. Over 100 Kosovo companies participated, and a large number of business meetings took place.
"The meeting of businesspeople attests to the maturity of bilateral business activities, and I expect this will be a point of departure for the expansion of our economic transactions," Mr. Tsipras said in his speech.
During the business mission, Mr. Tsipras met with the Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Valon Murtezaj, Agriculture Minister Memli Krasniqi, the Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Besa Zogaj-Gashi, and the National Coordinator for promoting investment development initiatives, Petrit Selimi. "There are clear prospects for strengthening bilateral economic relations," the Secretary General for International Economic Relations commented following his meetings.
