Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias had an in-depth meeting today in New York City, on the margins of the UN General Assembly, with the UN Secretary General’s Special Adviser on Cyprus, Espen Barth Eider.
During their discussion, a comprehensive review of the state of play in and course of the negotiations was carried out, and Mr. Kotzias set out the Greek government’s views and concerns regarding the course of the resolution of the Cyprus issue, raising extensively the issue of guarantees and the need for the withdrawal of the occupation forces from Cyprus.
