Foreign Ministry spokesperson’s response to journalists’ questions regarding the election and yesterday’s statements of the new Vice-Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, S. Idrizi

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Konstantinos Koutras stated the following in response to journalists’ questions regarding the election and yesterday’s statements of the new 3rd Vice-Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Shpëtim Idrizi:

“The choice of persons who are agents of irredentist views, and who are linked directly with Europe’s repugnant fascist and Nazi past, to fill high positions in the highest institutional organs of the state does not promote friendship, cooperation, stability and good neighbourly relations between the countries of Southeast Europe, and nor is it conducive to Albania’s European perspective.”
