Greece is renowned for its wonderful rugged landscape, its untouched gems, its endless coastlines, and its 6,000 islands and islets, famous all over the world, due to their unparalleled beauty. 

The number of international tourist arrivals has doubled in less than a decade, from 15 million in 2010 to 33 million in 2018. To put this in perspective, Greece has a total population of 11 million people. Another notable fact is that Australian tourists arrivals in Greece almost doubled in the last two years. From a long term trend of 120-180 thousands per year until 2016 to more than 320 thousands per year from 2017 onwards. 

Beyond sea and sun, tourism forms an essential part of Greece’s identity, present and future.
