Celebrating “OHI day” in Shepparton, Victoria (21 October 2018)

The Consul General of Melbourne, Mr. D. Michalopoulos participated in the ceremonies to mark the 78th anniversary of “OHI day”, in Shepparton, Victoria.  The event was organised by the Australian-Greek Ex-Servicemen’s Association and the local Greek Community.  A church service was held at St George’s Orthodox Church, which was followed by a memorial service and a wreath-laying ceremony at the Shepparton Cenotaph / Memorial, with the Mayor and the local RSL Head in attendance.

The Consul General was pleased to acknowledge the great work being made by the Greek Community which holds Greek-language courses for the Greek-speaking residents of Shepparton and also nearby towns.
