Commemoration of the fourth anniversary of the unveiling of the statue at Lemnos square in Port Philip, Melbourne (10 August 2019)
The Consul General of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. D. Michalopoulos took part in the commemoration organised by the Lemnos-Gallipoli Commemoration Committee on the 10th of August at Lemnos square, for the fourth anniversary of the unveiling of the statue dedicated to the ANZACs and nurses who were sent in 1915 to Lemnos to take part in the Gallipoli campaign.
Also participating at the ceremony were the
Mayor of Port Philip, the state minister for Veterans, Mr. R. Scott, federal MP
and Shadow Minister for Veterans & Defence Personnel, Mr. Sh. Neumann as
well as representatives of Greek associations and others.
