Festival “Theofania – Blessing of the Waters” at Princes Pier, Port Melbourne (12 Jan. 2020)

The Consul General, Mr. D. Michalopoulos, took part in the 37th annual festival “Theofania – Blessing of the Waters”.  The ceremony was conducted by His Grace Bishop Ezekiel of Dervis.  The official party consisted among others by Senator D. Van, representing the Honourable S. Morrison Prime Minister, Mrs. M. Vamvakinou, member for Calwel, representing the Honourable A. Albanese Leader of the Federal Opposition, Mr. N. Staikos, member for Bentleigh, representing the Honourable D. Andrews Premier of Victoria and Mr. S. Dimopoulos, member for Oakleigh.  There was broad participation from the part of Greek-Australians who attended not only the ceremony but also the music and dance programme that followed.
