Meetings of the Consul General of Greece in Melbourne at the Victorian State Parliament

Courtesy call, on May 14th, to the President of the Legislative Council of the Parliament of Victoria, the Hon. B. Atkinson MLC and the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Hon. C. Brooks MP.  Friendly exchange of views and a keen interest in developments in Greece.

Meeting, on May 9th, at the Parliament House with the state Minister for Families and Children and Minister for Early Education and Minister for Youth Affairs, Mrs. J. Mikakos.  Talked about the implementation of the “Memorandum of Understanding on Educational Cooperation to Support the Teaching of Greek Language in Victorian Schools and Funded Kindergarten Programs”, signed on 8.12.2017 in Athens.

Working lunch, on May 9th, at the Parliament House with the three MPs (Legislative Assembly) of Greek heritage, Mr. St. Dimopoulos (ALP), Mr. N. Staikos (ALP) and Mr. A. Katos (Liberal Party).  Useful and constructive exchange of views, contacts will continue.
