Oakleigh Grammar 35th Anniversary Founders Day Assembly
Oakleigh Grammar is located in the heart of Melbourne’s Greek community, in the suburb of Oakleigh. It is there, on 17 August, where the 35th Anniversary Founders Day Assembly took place, an event which coincides with the 55th anniversary of the Greek Orthodox Community of Oakleigh & Districts. H.E. the Hon L. Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria was the keynote speaker. Oakleigh Grammar was founded in 1983 as the Greek-Orthodox College “Aghioi Anargiri”, thanks to the efforts of Father N. Moutafis and the members of the Greek community of Oakleigh. Today it offers its students of not only Greek but also from other ethnic backgrounds courses in Greek and English languages, with a special focus on Greek history and orthodox faith in a beautiful school environment.
