Deputy Foreign Minister Terens Quick on visit to Australia
Deputy Foreign Minister Terens Quick is carrying out a visit to Australia as of today, for meetings with Greek community organizations and bilateral meetings with the country's authorities.
In Sydney, the Deputy Foreign Minister will meet with Archbishop Stylianos of Australia, Greek community organizations and members of the Greek-Australian Business Council, and he will also address members of the Greek student associations at the University of Sydney. He will also meet with the Premier of New South Wales, Gladys Berejiklian, and the Leader of the Opposition in the New South Wales Parliament, Luke Foley.
In Canberra, Mr. Quick will meet with Foreign Minister Julie Bishop, Greek Australian Industry Minister Arthur Sinodinos and the members of the Australian-Greek parliamentary friendship committee.
In Melbourne, Mr. Quick will meet with Greek Australian state MPs and members of the government of Victoria, the Board of Directors of Melbourne's Greek-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bishop Ezekiel of Dervis, and the presidents of the Greek associations and organizations.
Finally, in Adelaide, Mr. Quick will meet with Greek Australian MPs in the Parliament of South Australia, ministers of the state government, the Greek Australian Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Australia, Chris Kourakis, and representatives of local Greek Australian organizations. He will also visit the Centre for Modern Greek Language and Culture, at Flinders University.
