Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos to participate in the European Union - Arab League Ministerial Meeting (Brussels, 4 February 2019)

Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos will participate, on Monday 4 February, in the EU - Arab League Ministerial Meeting in Brussels, in view of the 1st Summit Meeting of the two organisations, which will take place on 24-25 February in Egypt.

Talks between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs will focus on regional and international issues, such as the Middle East Peace Process as well as the situation in Libya and Yemen. The strengthening of cooperation between the EU and the Arab League will also be discussed, for tackling common challenges such as the threat of terrorism, climate change and migration, with a goal towards the consolidation of peace, security and common development in the wider region.

On the margin of the Ministerial Meeting, the Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs will hold bilateral meetings with counterparts.
