Celebration of Greek National Day of October 28th

The Greek National Day of October 28th was celebrated on Sunday, Oct 26th at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Brussels at the presence of the Greek Authorities in Belgium and Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium. Mr. Vikas, a prominent member of the Greek community in Brussels and former Ambassador delivered the panegyric speech of the day.

After that, the Ambassador of Greece in Belgium, Mr C. Chalastanis, along with the Greek Military Authorities and the President of the Greek Community, Mr Argiropoulos, laid a wreath and paid due homage to the graves of the Greek soldiers fallen during the II WW, while a memorial service was held by the Metropolitan of Belgium, Mr Athinagoras.

Also in the context of National Day celebrations, Ambassador Chalastanis attended and addressed the traditional dance festival, organized by the Greek Community in Brussels on Nov 8th.
