Biographical Note of Consul General of Greece in Montreal

Consul General Katerina Varvarigou assumed her duties in Montreal on August 21st, 2022.

She is a career diplomat for the past 23 years. She has extensive experience on EU affaires, having served both to the Greek Permanent Representation to the EU and to the EU External Relations Directorate of the Greek MFA. Other previous assignments include the Embassy of Greece in Belgium and the Consulate of Greece in Edirne (Turkey). For the last three years she has served as the Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Development and Investments.

She has a degree from the School of Law, Democritus University of Thrace. She speaks French, English and German.

She is in Montreal with her husband Nikos.
