Important information about the lending of museum kits from the Consulate General of Greece in Toronto
Reservation: Reservations for museum kits can be done online, through the website of the Consulate General of Greece in Toronto. When reserving a museum kit you will have to fill out a form, which will include your contact information as well as some information about the organization you represent. Once the form has been successfully submitted a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you have put on the form.
Pick-Up: The museum kit has to be picked up in person by the individual(s) that has reserved it on the first business day of the week for which it has been reserved. The pick-up can be completed any time between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm. Upon entering the Greek Consulate you will be asked to provide a valid piece of identification. A consular employee will demonstrate how to open, close and secure the museum kit, as well as how to use the removable transfer mechanism. You will also be asked to sign the reservation form. There is underground parking available at the building where the Greek Consulate is located, which we kindly ask you to use in order to safely load the museum kit into your vehicle.
Borrowing period: The borrowing period for each museum kit is 2 (two) weeks, starting on the first business day of the first week and ending on the last business day of the second week. If you would like to borrow a museum kit for a longer period of time please contact us at , stating the reasons for which you need to extend the borrowing period.
Return: The museum kit has to be returned to the Greek Consulate on the last day of the second week of your reservation, between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm.
Questionnaire: After returning the museum kit you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire which will be sent to you.
Promotional Material: The material that will be produced from using the museum kit, such as: pictures, videos, students’ projects, drawings, etc. may be extremely useful, and serve as an example to other educational organizations that will borrow the kit after you. Furthermore, it is useful for the Greek Consulate to make the museum kits widely known to the Canadian public.
