Clearing of Greek Electoral Registers

**Deadline for Submitting Applications to a Greek Consular Authority: December 31st, 2024**

In reference to the Circular No. 39/15.11.2024 issued by the Elections Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, we would like to inform you that the deadline for submitting applications by voters over the age of 80, who, according to the current conditions, are set to be removed from the electoral registers, has been extended until December 31st, 2024.

These voters must meet the following cumulative criteria:

1. They must have been born before 1944.

2. They must not have submitted a tax return or been listed as dependents on tax returns for the year 2022, which were filed by December 31st, 2023.

3. They must not hold a valid Greek passport.

4. They must not be receiving a pension from a Greek pension fund.

**Important Note:**

Should the voters subject to removal wish to remain on the electoral rolls, they are required to appear in person at the Consular Authority of their place of residence by December 31st, 2024, and submit a request for the cancellation of their removal, accompanied by a legal identification document(e.g., national ID card, passport – expired or valid, or driver’s license).
