The Consul General

Dimitrios V. Skoutas, is a senior First Counsellor, serving as Consul General of Greece in Vancouver since August 21, 2023.

Prior to his arrival in Vancouver he served in the Directorate for South-East Europe countries at the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). Since joining the MFA Diplomatic Academy in 2000, Mr. Skoutas has worked in the Greek Embassies in Kazakhstan, Russia, Finland and Singapore, as well as in various positions in the MFA. For the period September 2019-December 2021 he was dispatched as the Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Tourism.

He holds two undergraduate and two graduate university degrees and speaks English, Russian and French.

He is married, father to a daughter.
