Greece at the European Union Film Festival - Canada 2021
The Canadian Film Institute, the European Union Film Festival in Toronto and The Cinematheque in Vancouver, have joined forces with the Delegation of the European Union in Canada and the Embassies and Consulates of EU Member States, to present the second online edition of the European Union Film Festival (EUFF) in Canada, from 12 to 28 November 2021.
This year, Greece is participating with the film "Tailor" directed by Sonia Liza Kenterman. The cast includes actors Dimitris Imellos, Tamila Koulieva, Thanasis Papageorgiou, Stathis Stamoulakatos, Dafni Michopoulou. The film will be available online from the 19th to 20th of November 2021 (English and French subtitles are available).
Synopsis : Α coming-of-old-age story of an eccentric Tailor who doesn’t quite fit into the world and has isolated himself into the attic of the family’s tailoring shop. On the verge of losing everything, he finally gets triggered: with a wondrously strange bricolage coach —a tailor shop on wheels— he reinvents his life and his craft. He changes the brides of Athens and falls in love for the first time in his 50s.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A session, in which Canadian Film Institute Executive Director, Tom McSorley will interview film director and script writer, Sonia Liza Kenterman.
