Commemoration of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Montreal, 27.1.2014: The State of Israel and Yad Vashem honour Angelo Chalikias as Righteous Among the Nations

The International  Holocaust Remembrance Day, in Montreal, was  dedicated  to Angelo Chalikias,a Greek Montrealer  from Lefkada, who went to extraordinary personal lengths to save the life of Niso Moustaki, a young Jewish   man he barely knew. The State of Israel and Yad Vashem honoured posthumously Angelo Chalikias as Righteous Among the Nations.Ambassador of Greece to Canada,  Eleftherios Anghelopoulos was one of the keynote speakers on this event.
