Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Diaspora Greeks Antonis Diamataris meets with the president of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal, Annie Koutraki (Athens, 26 August 2019)

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Diaspora Greeks, Antonis Diamataris, met on 26 August 2019 with the president of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal, Annie Koutraki.

Ms. Koutraki briefed the Deputy Minister on the activities of the Community, which operates, among other things, four Greek-language day schools with Greek-language learning support programs, kindergartens, nursery schools, churches and social services.

To ensure the smooth functioning of the schools, Ms. Koutrakis requested educational-staff support from Mr. Diamataris.

Mr. Diamataris thanked Ms. Koutraki, expressing his intention to visit Canada and to continue to support the Community’s work.

Also present at the meeting were the President of the Advisory Board of the Hellenic Community of Montreal, Gerasimos Kolaitis, and journalist Ioustini Fragkouli.
