Ambassador Eleftherios Anghelopoulos co-hosted a heart-healthy Greek wine and food tasting benefit for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute with foundation board member Steve Ramphos , President of District Realty. Athens-born celebrity chef Christine Cushing sautéed shrimp, prepared dakos and garnished a Greek yogurt dessert.
The evening was in support of a new cardiac MRI that will go far away supporting people with heart disease. The Heart Institute plans to have the diagnostic equipment in Ottawa by next summer said cardiologist Dr. Sandy Dick . From Heart Institute was Dr. Andrew Pipe too, who delivered the following social message: “Because of your generosity and graciousness, we are very proud that we have in this city one of the finest cardiovascular centres in the world.
