Ambassador Eleftherios Anghelopoulos attended the performance and delivered remarks.
He also sent the following message on the occasion of the event:
"It is with great pleasure that I welcome the new project “Time for Flowers Time for Snow”.
We are very proud that a large number of Greek- Canadian children, attending the Schools of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal, together with children from other cultural backgrounds, as well as high calibre musicians and artists from Canada, Greece and the U.K, were united via one of the most important myth of Ancient Greece.
The myth of Persephone and Demeter is universal and timeless. The love of a mother for her daughter has the power to change the seasons.
Using brilliant text, colourful illustrations, a stirring score and a lot of hard work, passion and love, Tradewind books, Chroma Musika and Panarmonia Atelier Musical managed to give all these children the experience of a lifetime, based on this eternal Greek Myth.
I congratulate everyone who worked tirelessly for this important production and above all, I express my admiration for my little singing friends on a job so well done. The Embassy of Greece in Canada, congratulates you for your accomplishments!
With cordial greetings,
Eleftherios Anghelopoulos
Ambassador
