Georgia (Gina) Andreadi
Mrs Georgia Andreadi joined the Hellenic Diplomatic Service in 2001. After completing her studies at the Diplomatic Academy (2001-2002), she was initially dispatched to the Protocol Department of the Hellenic Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Athens (2002-2003) and then at the Diplomatic Cabinet of the Prime Minister in Athens (2003-2004).
From 2004 to 2008 she served at the Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations in New York.
Ιn 2009, after the end of her maternity leave, she took over the position of Director of the Office of the Secretary General for International Economic Relations and Development Cooperation at the Hellenic Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Athens (2009-2010).
She then took an academic leave to follow her second Master’s Degree at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Boston, USA (2010-2011).
In 2011 she became the Deputy Director of the Department of Human Rights, Minorities, Refugees and Migrants of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Athens.
In 2013 she was posted at the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU in Brussels and in 2017 she returned to Greece and took over the role of national Brexit coordinator. She simultaneously served as Deputy Director at the Department for European Integration, EU Internal Market and EU Economic and Monetary Policy.
From 2021 to 2024 she was posted as Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in the Republic of North Macedonia.
Mrs Andreadi holds a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Philology, Literature and French Studies from the Philosophy School, Faculty of Philology and Modern Languages, of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece. She also holds a Master’s Degree (MA) in Political Science from the University of Warwick, Coventry, UK, as well as a (second) Master’s Degree (MA) in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, Boston, MA, USA.
Mrs Andreadi is fluent in English and French, has an intermediate knowledge of Italian (CELI 2) and Turkish (B1 level) and has a basic understanding of Mandarin Chinese (HSK 1).
She is married and has a daughter.
