JOB VACANCY NOTICE
The Consulate General of Greece in Shanghai publishes a call for the fulfilment of the position of one (1) usher on the basis of an employment contract for a fixed period of two years with a gross monthly salary of 1.550 euros. The fulfilment of the position will be carried out according to the provisions of Article 422 of Law 4781/2021 (ΦΕΚ Α΄ 31, 28.02.2021), following a reasoned recommendation by the Head of the Consular Authority.
Job description:
• Facilitate the access of the general public to the premises
• Miscellaneous support of the Visa and Consular Sections
• Assisting the organization of events
• Helping with general organizational matters
• Handling of incoming and outbound general mail
Preconditions:
• Applicants should be permanent residents of China, they must have completed their twenty first (21st) year of age and speak Chinese. Applicants of Greek nationality must have completed their military service or been legally exempt from it.
Additional/desired qualifications:
• Solid knowledge of Greek and English language
• A University Degree and relevant working experience
• Basic use of personal computer (word, excel)
If the selected candidate is a Greek national, he/she may choose to be subject to Greek legislation for matters of social security or opt for a local insurance. Foreign nationals are subject to local social security legislation, if possible. Chinese nationals are subject to local social security legislation. For all issues pertaining to insurance, pension rights, compensation and other labor matters, foreigners are subject to Chinese law, whereas Greek nationals are subject to the law convened upon in their employment contract.
