24/03/2020 Announcement by the Embassy of Greece on new measures fighting COVID-19 outbreak in China
Greek citizens are informed that flights between Greece and China have been suspended and, as of March 23, 2020, international flights still operating and bound for Beijing are diverted to the following designated first points of entry: Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Taiyuan, Hohhot, Shanghai Pudong, Jinan, Qingdao, Nanjing, Shenyang, Dalian, Zhengzhou and Xi’an.
At these points of entry, all passengers (even asymptomatic) are obliged to undergo detailed health control (including nucleic acid test), as well as a mandatory quarantine and monitoring period of 14 days in specified locations designated by local authorities and staffed with medical teams, at their own expense.
In Beijing, additional stringent and restrictive measures are applied, such as controls at city entry and exit points, temperature measurement when entering buildings, compounds, hotels, the subway and public buses, mandatory use of a mask and prevention of public gatherings. Similar measures are also applied in other Provinces.
