Announcement of the Embassy of Greece in China

With regards to certain false reports on the internet claiming that Greece has decided to suspend issuing visas in China, the Embassy of Greece would like to reiterate that all departments of the Consular Authorities of Greece in China operate normally, including the Visa sections.

However, all VAC (Visa Application Centers) subcontracted by the Greek authorities, being external service providers, are required to comply with the Chinese government instructions and remain closed following the official extension of the Chinese New Year holiday.

According to instructions of the Beijing Local Government, all companies operating in Beijing area will remain closed until February 10, 2020. Similar measures have been announced in other major cities in China.
