The Inaugural EU-China International Literary Festival (Beijing and Chengdu, 21-27/11/2017)

Greek novelist Dimitris Stefanakis will represent Greece at the inaugural EU-China International Literary Festival which brings together a number of exceptional Chinese and European authors. The eight prominent European authors selected especially to represent their countries at this historic cross-cultural event hail from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, and Slovakia.

In both, Beijing and Chengdu, the EU-China International Literary Festival will host exclusive events for reading exchanges and discussions. Authors from Europe and China will exchange ideas, celebrate the diversity of European and Chinese culture, and display their literary skills through this platform.

In Beijing, Dimitris Stefanakis will participate in following events:

-“Baring Society’s Shadow and Soul: Literary Ways and Means”, The Bookworm, Wednesday, November 22nd, 18:00-19:30 (Sanlitun South Street, Courtyard No.4).
-“Readers beyond Borders”, San Lian Bookshop Thursday, November 23rd, 18:00-19:15 (F1 Building D Tsinghua Tongfang Hi-Tech Plaza).

He will also give a lecture at Beijing Foreign Studies University, on Thursday, November 23rd ,  15:00-16:30, at the Library (3rd floor). The theme of the lecture is “Mediterranean: Space of Memory”.

In Chengdu, Dimitris Stefanakis will participate in following events:
-“Why We Write”, The Bookworm, Saturday, November 25th, 14:30-16:00 (Ren Min South Street No.28, Yu Jie Dong Jie No.2)
-“Embracing the Literary Muse”, Fang Suo Commune, Monday, November 27th, 19:30-21:00 (M68-70 Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu).

All events are free to enter, and will be in Chinese and English. We invite you to join the events and engage in a fascinating dialogue on literature and life.
