Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonis Diamataris to visit Cyprus – Participation in World Conference of Overseas Cypriots (Nicosia, 27-28 August 2019)
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Diaspora Greeks, Antonis Diamataris, will visit Cyprus on 27 and 28 August 2019 to participate in the World Conference of Overseas Cypriots.
During his two-day stay in Cyprus, the Deputy Minister is to meet with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulides. He will also meet with the President of the Cypriot House of Representatives, Demetris Syllouris, and the Presidential Commissioner for Humanitarian Issues and Overseas Cypriots, Fotis Fotiou.
The Deputy Minister will also have a working luncheon with His Beatitude Archbishop Chrysostomos II of Cyprus.
In the context of his visit, there will be a trilateral meeting on Diaspora issues between Greece, Cyprus and Armenia, with the participation of Mr. Diamataris, Mr. Fotiou, and Mr. Zareh Sinanyan, respectively.
The Deputy Minister will also meet with representatives of diaspora organizations.
Finally, Mr. Diamataris will visit the Imprisoned Graves and the Makedonitissa Tomb, the Greek force in Cyprus (ELDYK), and the grave of the philanthropist and benefactor George Paraskevaides.
