Greek National Day, March 25 2014: student parade and the reception at the Greek Ambassador's Residence (31/03/2014).

Marking the Greek National Day (25/03) the student parade was held in front of the building of the Greek Embassy. The parade was watched by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. I. Nikolaou, representing the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis and the Cypriot Government, the Chairman of the House of Representatives Mr. G. Omirou, the Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II, the former President of the Republic Mr. D. Christofias, the President of Democratic Rally Mr. A. Neophytou, the Chairman of the Democratic Party Mr. N. Papadopoulos, the President of Citizens Alliance Mr. G. Lillikas , the Vice President of the Democratic Party Mr. M. Kyprianou , the Honorary President of EDEK Mr. V. Lyssarides , the Chief of the National Guard , the Chief of Police, the Chief of the Fire Department, the Commander of ELDYK and executives of the National Guard.
A reception was held on 31.03.2014 at the Greek Ambassador's Residence. Greece was honored by the presence of the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis, the Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ioannis Kasoulides, the Minister of Health Mr. Philippos Patsalis, the Minister of Communications Mr. Marios Dimitriades, the President of Democratic Rally Mr. Averof Neophytou , Vice President  of the  Democratic Party, Mr. Markos Kyprianou , the Chief of National Guard , the new Chief of Police, the Chief of Fire Department, the Commander of ELDYK and members of the National Guard. The event was also attended by the President of the Greek party “Independent Greeks”, Mr. Panos Kammenos, who was on official visit in Cyprus. Last but not least, the event was attended by the whole of the Diplomatic Corps in Cyprus, University rectors, representatives of business and arts and many others.

Welcoming the President of the Republic of Cyprus, the Greek Ambassador read out the message of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Karolos Papoulias, to the Greeks living abroad.
