Holy Mass and student parade for the national anniversary of 28th October 1940

Today, in Nicosia, Holy Mass was held at St. John’s Cathedral and the great student parade took place in front of the Embassy of Greece, celebrating the national anniversary of 28th October 1940.

The Ambassador of Greece to Cyprus, Mr. Ilias Fotopoulos, after the parade, made the following statement to the representatives of the media:

"The message that we should uphold today is that only through unity, coordination and commitment we can fulfill our goals in a world that is constantly changing, and ofcourse to find the best possible solutions on national issues, both for Greece and Cyprus. Fortunately, both countries are fully co-ordinated, working methodically to meet these goals. In any case, that is their duty towards the generation that we just admired parading. Thank you"
