Message by the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Cyprus, Mr. I. Fotopoulos (Nicosia, 25/7/2018)

On behalf of the Hellenic Republic, as the Ambassador of Greece to Cyprus I would like to convey my sincere gratitude for the support wholeheartedly offered by the Cypriot people, during the ordeal Greece is going through.

Along with the immediate and valuable assistance offered by the Government of the Republic of Cyprus and the Cypriot Orthodox Church, the spontaneous response to the practical needs of the victims and the dozens of solidarity messages conveyed by political parties, local institutions, civil society organizations as well as by individual citizens, both Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots, has deeply affected the Greek people, highlighting once again the deep and strong ties between Greece and Cyprus.
