Minister for Foreign Affairs, G. Katrougalos, to visit Cyprus (Nicosia, 19.03.2019)
Today, Monday 18 March, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Katrougalos, will travel to Nicosia, in the context of his first formal visit to the Republic of Cyprus since assuming his duties as the Head of Greek diplomacy.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, 19 March, the Minister for Foreign Affairs will be received by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiades, and he will subsequently meet with his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides. Talks will focus on developments with regard to the Cyprus issue, as well as issues of regional cooperation, including the trilateral cooperation schemes that the two countries have jointly developed in the Eastern Mediterranean. Topics of European and bilateral interest will also be discussed.
That same day, Mr. Katrougalos will also meet with Demetris Syllouris, President of the Cypriot Parliament, as well as with Archbishop Chrysostomos II of Cyprus. Finally, the visit’s schedule includes laying of a wreath at the Imprisoned Graves as well as a visit to the Makedonitissa Tomb.
