Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson A. Yennimatas’ statement regarding the developments on the Cyprus issue

The meeting in Berlin constitutes a positive step in the effort to resolve the Cyprus issue, which remains a top priority of Greek Foreign Policy.

The meeting confirmed the commitment to the need for a solution that is based on the Resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. It affirmed the need for speedy resolution of the issue and the UN Secretary General’s intention to continue in this direction.

As always, Greece will be ready and willing at all times to assist UN Secretary General Guterres in his efforts.
