The Ambassador of Greece, Mr. V. Papaioannou, participated at the Conference on Positive Growth (Nicosia, 04/07/2014)

The Ambassador of Greece, Mr. Vassilis Papaioannou participated at a Conference, at the Presidential Palace, on the topic “Reforming: One Way Street to Positive Growth,” which was organized by the Presidency of the Republic in collaboration with the UK High Commission.

The main conclusions of the conference were a roadmap about the necessary steps in order to stabilize the financial sector, to abolish internal bank restrictions earlier than expected, to restore international credibility and to return to the international markets.  Also the philosophy and policy which is necessary to create an attractive environment for the international and local business community, the comparative advantages such as its stable financial sector, its tax regime, its skilled and competent labor force and its strategic geographical location.
