Greece was elected, on June 6 2024, as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2025-2026 term. Three Greek words of universal meaning will guide Greece’s term on the United Nations Security Council: Dialogue, Diplomacy, Democracy.

With a vision of empowering Hellenism around the world and developing a meaningful, two-way mutual / interactive relationship with the Greek Diaspora, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has prepared and is implementing a comprehensive Strategic Plan for Greeks Abroad for the period 2024 - 2027, which has been structured on the basis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Strategic Plan 2024-2027.

The Digital Request Management Service is an on-line service developed in order to facilitate citizens’ interactions with the Consular Authorities of their place of residence. The operation of the new Digital Service has already been launched and is expected to gradually be offered by all Consular Authorities. Citizens can access the service via the e-proxeneio.mfa.gr entry point or through the websites of Consular Authorities.
