Alternate FM Xenogiannakopoulou to participate in the GAC/FAC (Brussels, 31 January 2011)

Alternate Foreign Minister Mariliza Xenogiannakopoulou will be in Brussels tomorrow to participate in the proceedings of the EU General Affairs and Foreign Affairs Councils (GAC/FAC).

The FAC will look at the situation in Egypt and Tunisia, Belarus, Lebanon and Côte d’Ivoire, as well as at freedom of religion or belief.

The GAC agenda includes preparations for the 4 February European Council – which will focus on energy and innovation issues – as well as a presentation of the Hungarian Presidency’s programme, which emphasises, among other things, the implementation of the Danube Strategy.
