The Alternate Foreign Minister for European Affairs, Nikos Xydakis, met at the Foreign Ministry today with the Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister for European Policies and Institutional Affairs and Minister of Education and Science, Meglena Kuneva.
The meeting saw an exchange of views on issues frequently addressed by the EU General Affairs Council, such as upgrading of the General Affairs Council’s role, better preparation of the European Council meetings, and the migration/refugee issue.
Ms. Kuneva expressed strong interest in the operational details of the Hellenic EU Presidency of 2014, wishing to draw from Greek experience ahead of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2018.
