Greece is assuming the Presidency of the Council of Europe for the second half of 2020 (15 May-18 November), which coincides with the 70th anniversary of the signing of the European Convention on Human Rights (Rome, 4 November 1950).

At the focus of the logo of the Greek Presidency of the Council of Europe are Greece, Europe, and the Individual. The logo consists of the acronym of the international organization (COE), which is combined with G, for Greece, in an abstract dimension. Humanitarian symbols call to mind the protection of human rights, and in the centre is the individual as the Greek sun.
