Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis today met with French Ambassador Patrick Maisonnave. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation issues and reaffirmed the excellent relations between Greece and France.
Mr. Varvitsiotis underscored the traditionally strong relationship between the two countries, praising France’s firm and constant support for our country in the wider Southeast Mediterranean region as well as in the European Union.
He made special reference to France’s stance on the Turkey-Libya Memorandum and the French Republic’s support for the Greek side.
The French Ambassador conveyed the French side’s desire for further cooperation and deepening of the two countries’ relations.
