Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas today appointed Ambassador Antonios Nikolaidis Greece’s Special Envoy to the Middle East.
Ambassador Nikolaidis is a distinguished member of the Greek diplomatic service, currently serving as Ambassador at Large and Foreign Ministry Inspector General. He has a profound knowledge of the region – from which he hails – and speaks Arabic.
During his recent visit to the Middle East, Mr. Droutsas announced his intention of appointing a Greek Special Envoy to the Middle East, whose mission is to promote Greece’s relations with countries of the region and strengthen Greece’s presence and support for the efforts toward a comprehensive resolution of the Middle East problem
