The Greek Embassy and Consulate in Cairo and the Consulate General in Alexandria are in contact with the Greeks residing in Egypt and with the Alexandria Patriarchate.
At this time, communication is difficult to carry out due to serious technical problems. In the contacts our Embassy and Consulates have had with Greek organizations, the Sinai Monastery, the Patriarchate and Greek businesses, there has been no mention of Greeks who are in danger. The Foreign Ministry will continue to monitor the situation.
